The Doña Ana Camera Club is a group of photographers and people interested in photography. Our meetings offer technical presentations, friendly suggestions for improving your photos, networking, and other activities for a wide spectrum of photographers and abilities.
We meet the first and third Tuesday each month. The third Tuesday meetings will address club business and topics relating to "Before you hit the shutter button" such as composition and lighting.
The first Tuesday meetings will consist of topics relating to "After you hit the shutter button".
Visitors are always welcome to our monthly programs, designed to improve photographic skills at all levels. Please join with us to participate in our informative schedule of monthly programs designed to entertain you and improve your photographic skills.

This month's meeting dates: May 1 and 15, 2012

	Club Meeting News: Photo theme for the May meeting will be "Close Up - Not Macro", “Close Up”. This is talking about your physical relationship to your subject, rather that just standing back and using a telephoto - get up close, or relatively close, to the subject of your photo. If you are taking pictures of your friends or your pets, get up close to them and change your point of view, fill the frame with their face, or their eyes or whatever you are interested in and share your results with the rest of us.
	June meeting photo theme will be "Silhouette" and there's plenty of sun to get those kinds of photos. For the list of other theme topics for the year, check the Newsletter Archive page
	The PowerPoint presentation "Macro Photography" is now available on-line. Find the link here and also farther down the page with the "Printable copies of programs from previous meetings" list.
	Other Events: DACC will have an exhibit in September titled "This Enchanted Land" (photos of New Mexico) at the Branigan Cultural Center in the Shannon Room (the largest room). Photos submitted are required to be framed. Photos should be submitted to DACC no later than July, 2012.
